Non-woven Fabric Packing density

The theoretical packing density of nonwovens can be calculated by identifying the type of fibre, fibre blend ratio, Fabric GSM & the thickness of the material. It is applicable only for the fabric which does not have any coatings on it. upon the addition of coatings the density could change due to other factors like the coating materials addon, squeezing pressure, tension applied etc.,

Below calculator can be used for the packing density measurement in nonwovens. User to provide the inputs like Type of fibre, Blend ration, GSM & Loft. the grey cells are calculated. In case of non blends select the fibre & ratio as 100.
